Carrington Sydes: Receives Honorable Mention Award at NC Science and Engineering Fair
Congratulations to 6th grader, Carrington Sydes, for receiving the Honorable Mention Award in the Junior Technology category at the North Carolina Science and Engineering Fair on Saturday, March 25th. Each category was presented with a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Honorable Mention award. The competition was held at Meredith College and there were many outstanding projects there from students all across the state. Way to go!
Carrington Sydes, a 6th grade student at Trexler Middle, attended the Regional Science and Engineering Fair on Saturday, February 11th that was held at UNCW. He competed against students from throughout the southeast region of our state and placed 1st in the Junior Technology category. The title of his science fair project is "Hands-Only CPR" and consists of a video game he created to teach individuals how to perform Hands-Only CPR at the correct beats per minute. Carrington will now compete at the NC Science and Engineering Fair that will be held on Saturday, March 25th at Meredith College where he will compete against students from across North Carolina.
